A VPN creates an encrypted virtual path between your computer and the internet. When you open a website, packets are encrypted, sent to the VPN server first, decrypted, and forwarded on your behalf. Even with VPN, leaks often come from DNS Leak and WebRTC Leak. DNS Leak: web traffic uses the VPN tunnel but DNS queries still go to your ISP DNS, leaving traces.
